7. Beagle

Beagles are usually super friendly and sociable when it comes to meeting both people and other dogs. And just like with any other dog breed on this list, the minimum effort is basically feeding them, taking them for walks regularly, and simply giving them some love and attention.

Then again, beagles may not be the best choice for someone who loves peace and quiet, but they can be an excellent match for elders who want a cheerful walking partner by their side.
